2008 Allstars

Here are some of my favorite pictures from 2008. We were unable to get pictures of all of the big fish and/or of some of the groups with the most fish. Nevertheless, you can get a general feeling of the type of fish in the Santee Cooper lakes.

Not every group wanted to target just huge catfish. Some of the small and medium size catfish were very memorable. The real thrill, however, is when that monster hits, sometimes in the middle of the day and sometimes in the middle of the night. The pole bends double, the reel often sings, and the fight is on.

Fishing is not just for the meat, but for the memories of the catch. Believe me, you will enjoy every fishing trip to the Santee Cooper lakes in South Carolina.
